Job Description Job Description Aerotek is hiring for a Yard Laborer with WEEKLY pay! Job Description We are looking for a dedicated Yard Laborer to join our team. The role is essential in ensuring the smooth check-in of vehicles sent by insurance companies, including comprehensive inspections and inventory management. This position requires working outdoors in all weather conditions and offers the opportunity to work independently with minimal supervision. Responsibilities Visually inspect totaled vehicles sent by insurance companies. Conduct an inventory of the vehicle, noting glass integrity, body panels, and basic interior features such as steering wheel, seats, and radio. Attempt to start the vehicle and use a battery pack to jump the battery if necessary. Enter vehicle information using a handheld device similar to a tablet. Work independently in the yard with support available via handheld radio. Essential Skills Basic car knowledge including identifying fender, bumper, hood, trunk, etc. Experience using smartphones or tablets. Basic computer skills. Ability to work independently. Additional Skills & Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. Ability to quickly learn during the 3-day training period. General labor and construction experience. Why Work Here? Safety gear is provided, and you will be part of a casual, yet professional work setting. Work Environment This is an outdoor job conducted in the yard, requiring appropriate attire such as jeans and steel-toe footwear. Breaks and lunch can be taken indoors, especially during severe weather conditions. The yard is fenced for security, and the office is clean with workstations. Regular hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with potential overtime on Saturdays as needed. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Aliquippa, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $19.00 - $19.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
