Job Description:

Duties and Responsibilities: * Effectively communicate to the Team Leads and Department Manager meaningful updates on workflows, productivity, efficiencies and distribution. * Identify areas of opportunities for technological advancements for increased productivity and efficiency with the Epic Core Team and Technology Team. * Create workflows to facilitate streamlined processes and assist with the implementation amongst other other Account Technicians. * Verify and process new and renewal policies for accuracy in rating and coverages. * Retrieve policies, endorsements and audits thru carrier website where applicable and process upon request for SBU and larger accounts when appropriate. * Recognize discrepancies in information; research and prove accurate information; communicate modifications with appropriate parties. * Input policy and renewal changes on carrier automated systems. * Order MVR's and Loss Runs upon request. * Collaborate with Account Managers on Certificates of Insurance and Evidence of Insurance requests. * Possess interpersonal relationship capability with Account Executives, Account Managers, Business Resource Coordinator and Technology Team. * Transition SBU clients to Customer Care Centers when eligible and appropriate. * Support online and electronic document delivery through FirstNow portal activations and utilization by all SBU clients. When online or electronic delivery is not available create summaries and prepare binders for delivery. * Follow up with insurance carriers for open items such as policies, endorsements and audits. * Process incoming mail, requests and phone calls, responding promptly and appropriately. * Assist Commercial Lines Account Manager with complex billing issues including invoicing and corrections. * Prepare and obtain premium finance quotes for new or renewal policies for SBU clients and/or large accounts upon request. * Knowledgeable of and adopt changes to insurance compliance rules, agency procedures, processes and workflows. * Maintains a courteous and effective relationship with clients, co-workers, carriers, and other business contacts. * Regularly shares knowledge and skills with others. * Complete other duties as assigned. Education, Certification, License and Experience: * High school graduate or equivalent required * Property and casualty license preferred - required after employment. * Compliance with Continuing Education requirements for licensing and/or designations. * Minimum three year Commercial Lines' Support position. Skills and Knowledge: * Thorough knowledge and understanding of the agencies' products, services, policies and procedures * Knowledge of carriers' products and available coverages * Overall general knowledge of the insurance industry * Excellent computer, interpersonal and customer service skills * Ability to effectively collaborate with others * Pays high attention to detail; strong analytical, problem solving and critical thinking skills. * Eager to learn new concepts and further professional development. * Responsible for knowing and ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations and guidelines, as detailed in policies that include but are not limited to Bank Secrecy Act and other applicable anti-money-laundering rules, Right to Financial Privacy, Fair Lending, Community Reinvestment Act, Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, and other laws and regulations as they pertain to the position. Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment. Work is normally performed in a typical interior work environment which does not subject the employee to any hazardous or unpleasant elements. Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to speak or hear, stand or sit for long periods of time, open filing cabinets, walk, stoop or bend, use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and complete tasks requiring manual dexterity.
