seeking a skilled Scale Service Technician w/ CDL for our
Pittsburgh, PA Team to ensure the accurate and reliable operation
of a variety of scales used in industrial and commercial settings.
This role involves installation, maintenance, calibration, and
troubleshooting to guarantee precise measurements, compliance with
industry standards, and customer satisfaction. Requirements:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Scale Installation: Properly
install and set up industrial, laboratory, and commercial scales
according to manufacturer specifications. Calibration: Perform
calibration procedures and adjust settings to meet precision
requirements. Maintenance and Repair: Conduct routine maintenance,
diagnose issues, and repair scales promptly to minimize downtime.
Inspection: Inspect scales for wear, damage, and functionality;
address issues with load cells, displays, and other components.
Documentation: Maintain detailed service and calibration records,
including certificates and service reports. Customer Interaction:
Communicate professionally with clients regarding service
requirements, estimates, and technical questions. Safety
Compliance: Follow safety protocols when working with heavy
equipment and electrical components. Quality Assurance: Ensure all
serviced scales meet quality and regulatory standards. Inventory
Management: Track tools, parts, and equipment; replenish supplies
as needed. Training: Stay updated on industry best practices and
scale technology advancements. Skills and Knowledge Experience in
scale installation, calibration, and repair. Strong troubleshooting
and diagnostic abilities. Knowledge of industry standards (e.g.,
ISO 9001, NIST Handbook 44). Proficiency with calibration and
measurement equipment. Excellent communication and customer service
skills. Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in varied
conditions. Valid driver’s license; Class B (or A) CDL a plus.
AC/DC, MIG Welding experience is a plus. Education & Experience
High school diploma or equivalent; technical/vocational training
preferred. 2–3 years of relevant industry experience preferred.

24/7/365, and the Scale Service Technician must be prepared to
support operations as needed. Special working conditions include:
Evening and weekend work Working outdoors and in various
environmental conditions Operating in and around industrial

challenging stakeholders Performing tasks outside normal office
hours, which may occasionally be done remotely Additional
