of the company. JOB SUMMARY: In this role, you will help sustain
Mennel’s tradition of excellence established in 1886 as well as
support our food safety programs and mission to reliably deliver
superior quality, uniformity, and service. This position is
responsible for assigning and coordinating all controlled inbound
and outbound shipments to achieve the best cost, customer service
level and transit times. This position will sustain the Mission and
Motto and Food Safety and Quality Statement of the Mennel Milling
Company. PRIMARY WORK SHIFT: Works shift as assigned and overtime
as required. Monday through Friday 8AM – 5PM. Will vary, depending
on workload. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: To perform this
job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each
essential duty satisfactorily with or without accommodation. Follow
all food and personal safety rules and regulations in respect to
GMP’s, OSHA, HACCP, the Global Food Safety Initiative, the US FDA
Food Safety Modernization Act as stated in the FS&Q Statement,
and sanitation guidelines as set forth by the company as listed in
Corporate Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) and attend all
required training sessions. Maintain the department/facility in an
everyday audit ready condition. Track and order materials in a
timely and accurate manner maintain appropriate inventory level
targets with consideration to space and cost. Utilize various
microcomputer applications. Demonstrated mastery of the purchasing,
receiving and inventory functions of D365 and SAP. Present and help
implement ideas that will productively impact material planning,
usage and inventory functions. Monitor inventory levels as finished
product demand fluxuates and take action as appropriate. Minimize
inventory write-offs, scrap and dumps by proactively seeking
options to use all materials prior to shelf life expiration or
obsolescence. Assure materials supply for new products are supplied
in a timely manner . Work with vendors, procurement and the plant
to resolve material issues as they arise. Ensure compliance to all
purchasing and inventory management control standards, policies and
procedures. Communication of material issues to procurement,
transportation, production planners, schedulers, management and all
other levels. Active involvement in all inventory activities
including physical inventories and cycle counts. Work off shifts,
off hours and weekends as business needs require to assure material
supply or to coordinate supply for specific projects. Other duties
may be assigned. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: This position has no
supervisory duties. QUALIFICATIONS: The requirements listed below
are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required
to perform this job . A minimum of a High School Diploma or
equivalent required; a 2 year college degree or technical school
course work and three years of job-related experience, preferably
in a business management; or any equivalent combination of
education and experience that provides the required knowledge,
skills and abilities preferred. Materials management and inventory
management experience preferred. Materials purchasing background
preferred. Basic knowledge of production and warehouse operations.
Strong PC skills – Excel, Word. Basic knowledge of warehouse
management and inventory software systems such as SAP, WMS and
Prisma. Detail oriented and strong organizational skills. Highly
effective interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work
effectively with vendors, transportation, procurement and all
levels of personnel at Martel. Demonstrated leadership qualities.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to read and comprehend simple
instructions, short correspondence, memos, procedures, and plans.
Ability to write, complete checklists and other basic documentation
and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information or
data in one-on-one and small group situations to co-workers,
supervisors, and managers. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS : Ability to add,
subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole
numbers, common fractions, and decimals. REASONING ABILITY: Must
use solid judgment when making decisions. Must have ability to
quickly recognize and plan for changing work duties and events.

performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly
required to stand; walk; use hands to perform maintenance tasks,
reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, twist,

lift and/or move up to 50 pounds or more. Specific vision abilities
required by this job include close vision, distance vision,
peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: The work environment characteristics described
here are representative of those an employee encounters while
performing the essential functions of this job: While performing
the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to
conditions that are typical to a fast- paced manufacturing
environment, including: moving equipment and machinery, dusty,
hot/humid, and cold conditions; employee must be willing to work in
all weather conditions, at heights, and in the presence of airborne
particles. The noise level in the work environment usually requires
the use of hearing protection. Work involves exposure to common
wheat allergens.
