A. General Responsibilities -Responsible for monitoring Schwebel line of products from shipping point to selling point. Oversees all aspect of distribution from packing, inventorying, and warehousing, transporting, and fleet management. -B. Nature and Scope of Position -Develop and maintain all processes that are involved with distributing and shipping our line of bread products. Responsible for managing all current, short term and long-term assets. Responsible for coordinating and monitoring all supply chains and operations. Accountability for reporting, data collection, and managing departmental metrics to CEO, Board of Directors, and shareholders. -C. Duties

• This positions is a member of the senior leadership team, reporting directly to the President/CEO of the company.
• Ensure all products are delivered on time without being damaged or ruined.
• Remain in constant communication with all bakeries; distribution supervisors, superintendents, sales and upper management.
• Senior manager overseeing the transport, Shipping activities, and Fleet Management for the company.
• Monitor shipping system and dispatch sheets for any issues.
• Partner with the Director of Operations to coordinate shipping schedules and transport reliability for product delivery.
• Partner with the VP of Sales to assure effective and on time delivery of product.
• Research to determine the most cost-effective strategy for transporting product and other goods.
• Daily walk-throughs of operations and shipping locations.
• Support off-shifts and remote locations as needed, including evening and weekends.
• Manage networks of distribution with oversight of strategies and performances.
• Assure the logistics operations are meeting/exceeding specific KPI's for this department.
• Ensure accuracy and compliance to regulations in all goods transported.
• Oversee all distributions in terms of products and placements.
• Responsible for assuring that all transportation is monitored.
• Responsible for oversight of inventory for all parts, materials, and commodities as associated with the shipping and logistics department.
• Schedule times of out-going shipments.
• Maintain safety records and customer service logs.
• Manage all union issues or problems.
• Comply with all HR and DOT laws and regulations.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by the CEO. D. Qualifications -Must have ability to motivate team members. Must have a Bachelor's Degree in a Business field, Logistics or Computer Supply Chain. 5+ years of experience in logistics or distribution. - Excellence in Microsoft Office. Ability to analyze and record successful logistics with corresponding staff members. Experience in manufacturing is preferred but not required. Management experience is preferred but not required. - -E. - Additional Information -This job may include being able to lift and move totes up to 50 pounds each. Regular bending, lifting, stretching and reaching both below the waist and above the head. Walking in and around the shipping area with great frequency. Must be able to stand/walk for up to 10-12 hours. Should be able to work in environments with variable noise levels, lighting conditions and temperature variation. Able to access all areas of building, which may include ascending and descending ladders, stairs, gangways safely and without limitation.
