Mercy Health Physicians Youngstown is seeking a motivated and capable board eligible or board
certified Palliative Medicine & Hospice physician. The fulltime position is immediately available and
is well suited for an individual that is equally passionate about Palliative Medicine/Hospice and
who desires to be involved with our growing service. This position entails a clinical Palliative
Medicine focus with a mixture of inpatient and outpatient coverage. In addition, this position will
be involved in our newly accredited Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship Program at our St.
Elizabeth Boardman Hospital.

Mercy Health Palliative Medicine Program was established in 2010. We currently provide inpatient
consultation to three Hospitals in the Mercy Youngstown system, operate two Outpatient Clinics,
and provide Community Based Palliative Care Services in-home and at local facilities.
Hospice of the Valley, Inc., a subsidiary of Mercy Health has served the community since 1979 as the
largest non-profit hospice in the area. Hospice of the Valley maintains a census averaging 170
patients per day, including a 16 bed Inpatient facility.
