Hello New Grads or Experience Veterinarians ; I've got your a job just waiting for you. Do you want to supplement your income with part-time after-hour work? Are you looking for a nighttime position to become your Forever Home with a great veterinary practice? I am looking for awsome veterinarians for our night-time urgent care practice. Are you that awsome person? Do you want me to help you become that awsome person? Please apply to my fun loving, happy people veterinary position. I am always looking to incorporate new and fresh knowledge and people into my practice. New grads are the life blood of practices looking to expand and I've got a practice that needs them. Experienced veterinarians are to much needed foundation for a veterinary practice and I need them too. I am looking to hire either one or more full-time or part-time veterinarians to continue to build my practice and expand the services we offer to the community. If you are looking for a practice where "progressive medicine" "work-life balance" and "mental health support" means something, then come see us. If you want the tools to diagnose and treat your patients quickly, we have an in-house lab to serve you. If you enjoy small town or country life but want to be able to drive to the city, Salem is your place to live. We have large cities within an hour or less travel. But most of all, if you want a place that is fun to work, offers mentoring and support, then give us a call! I am willing to create a flexible schedule or fixed schedule whichever works for all. Hours of operation are 4 pm to 10 pm Friday night through Tuesday night with occasional overage. I'm looking for either full-time or part-time veterinarians, but my urgent need is Monday or Tuesday nights and every 3rd weekend. Please note, full-time does require a person to work every weekend. But, I will work with anyone's schedule or needed time off. Patients are primarily urgent care, but we do get an occasional emergent patient. Common conditions seen are skin disease, ear disease, Lyme disease, Parvo infections, endocrine diseases, reproductive problems, heart and lung diseases, cancer patients, vomiting, diarrhea and other similar sick dogs and cats. Common trauma cases are lacerations, bite wounds, abscesses, warbles and occasional GI foreign bodies. Severe cases are stabilized then shipped to a 24-hour referral center in Akron, Canton or Pittsburg. Minor surgeries such as laceration repairs, ear hematoma surgeries, or similar minor surgeries are performed by attending urgent care veterinarian and sent home towards the end of the night. Major surgeries such as pyometra or foreign body surgeries are performed at the discretion of the attending veterinarian or referred out. Patients are kept overnight at the discretion of the attending urgent care veterinarian or shipped to a 24-hours facility. Fun Facts: Sense of humor and teamwork mentality is required. Our building houses 2 separate practices, one is the daytime general practice, and the other is an after-hour urgent care practice. We are one of the busiest veterinary hospitals in our area and we work with other veterinarians in a 50-mile radius to provide care for their patients when they can't fit them in. We are a night-time practice. But you are done at 10pm with occasional overage. NO boarding, NO on-call duties and NO overnighters. We are open 5 days a week, closed Wednesday and Thursday. Major emergencies are referred out to one of the local emergency centers in Akron, Pennsylvania, or Canton. Patients needing 24-hour care are usually stabilized and transferred to a 24-hour service. Anything that sounds like it should go directly to a 24-hour facility is sent there directly. Work-Life Balance and Mental Health are considered important for all staff members including doctors. We offer competitive salaries and benefits which are negotiable. Mentoring and additional training is available. Our community: We may be a small town, but we are close to lots of stuff. Pittsburgh is about 1 hour away, the Steelers' stadium is only 1 1/2 hours away, the Cleveland Browns and Football Hall of Fame is within 1 -- hours away. Other athletic facilities such as baseball and racetracks are also nearby. Pittsburgh international airport is 45 minutes away. Cleveland is about 1 hour north of us. Youngstown is 30 minutes from us. Columbus is 4 hours south of us. All have activities for single people, married couples, and families with night life, outdoor family events, indoor family events, and so on. Then there are the lakes nearby, fishing all year round, camping, boating, wine festivals, renaissance festivals, county fairs and all the usual summer fun. There are lots of car centered activities that occur year-round with car fairs, antique car shows, car races, etc. Fall brings pumpkin festivals, Cosplay festivals and hayrides, grade school and high school activities. Winter can be mild to cold - hey this is the North, but we have winter activities as well, skiing, snowboarding, and winter sports, winter camping and ice fishing. Spring brings out our spring fever and lots of spring activities. We are not a farming community, but there are farms all around us. There are good public and private schools and colleges in the area as well. What do our clients think? You can check out our reviews online; but they come to us because of our reputation for excellence, exceptional client communication with expert and compassionate care of their pets. Most importantly, we can see them when their vet can't or they think the pet can't wait. We meet AAHA's facility requirements and standards of care with a full in-house lab with AI capability, ultrasound, dental machines, digital x-ray machines (with ability to send out to radiologist), 2 surgery suites, isolation room, large treatment area, ICU units and critical care cages.
