12H Nights Weekend nightshift 7p-7:30a working either Friday,
Saturday and Sunday OR Saturday, Sunda Description: Unit WEST -
Neuro of beds20 beds (14 floor, 6 stepdown) for Floor
patients"Required Certifications"BLS is required, ACLS & NIHSS are
preferred NOTE: This unit does not have to be stepdown RN's"Common
diagnoses/Types of patientsNeurosciences, DBS (Deep Brain
Stimulators), Stroke, Seizures, Surgical/PostOp Spines,
Neurological DisordersExperience or 'Must have' skillsNeed to have
overall strong Neuro experienceAre RNs required to titrate
drips?Titration is only done by physician's orders in a step-down
setting. There may be some protocols that allow for titration, but
they would educate on that. Common titratable &/or set rate

1:7-10"RT Equipment (vents, Cpap, BiPap, etc.)RT is available 24/7
- States they get "floor Vents" - RN's are not required to have
vent experience. When there are floor vents they are usually on a
set setting. These are managed by RT & physician. If they require
changes they will go back to the ICU.Is there tele on this unit?
Monitor techs? RNs read strips?There is tele on this unit - per
notes from facility RN's do not have to read strips. RNs document
that they have verified monitor tech s strip reading in Epic.They
would allow 3 shifts in a row but this is not a guarantee.
Travelers need to be flexible."Weekend day positions: Friday,
Saturday and Sundays. Weekend night positions: Friday, Saturday,
and Sundays OR Saturday, Sundays, and Mondays. Nights (weekdays):
every other weekend or 3 weekend shifts per schedule (weekend
shifts = Saturday and Sundays)Holiday RequirementYes - travelers
