This role is responsible for providing specialized care in the cardiac care unit. The nurse will care for patients post-open heart surgery and manage complex cardiac conditions. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:2 based on unit acuity, with potential overflow patients requiring step-down care. Candidates must have skills in Swan-Ganz management, Impella monitoring, and CRRT. Certifications in ACLS and BCLS are mandatory, while NIH certification is also required. Travel experience is not required for this position. Candidates must have a permanent address more than 100 miles from the facility to be eligible. References from at least two managers or charge nurses from the last two years are needed.
