Job Description Trustaff is seeking a travel nurse RN Stepdown for a travel nursing job in Youngstown, Ohio. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Stepdown - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 02/09/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, nights - Employment Type: Travel Position Details: RN PCU/Stepdown Unit 6WE This position will not accept local candidates. Dysrhythmia Exam Required (Study Guide Available) 13 week contract BLS, ACLS, NIH Required Previous cardio/vascular experience PREFERRED. Unit Specific Details: Intermediate coronary care unit. Tele: Waveform monitors on the pt's telebox, tele bank at the nurses station and tele techs at central monitoring (RNs still responsible for interpreting/signing strips. Oxygen: Airvo, continuous BIPAP, hiflow. No vents or trachs. Drips: Heparin, cardizem, amio, nitro, insulin (titrate cardizem and nitro), HF drips. Mulitple drains, central lines, chest tubes, wound vacs Primarily cardiac (afib, CHF, pre/post cath, open heart waiters); Respiratory/COVID; some renal; some stroke/TIA; some post op; ICU transfers (stepdown). Ratios 1:4-5 (days) and 1:5-6 (nights). Typically VERY short staffed per facility. PCA support: regularly schedule 3/day and 2/night. If PCA's are pulled to sit the RN assumes care. Charge RN: Days charge typically has no assignment or 1-2 pts, nights charge has a full assignment. Phlebotomy: Available for lab draws. *All listed ratios are subject to change based on staffing availability at the facility. Ratios are never guaranteed but are what the unit typically attempts to achieve with normalized staffing.
