Malone Healthcare - Nursing is seeking a travel nurse RN Stepdown for a travel nursing job in Uniontown, Pennsylvania. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Stepdown - Discipline: RN - Start Date: 01/31/2026 - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Unit Overview Unit: 3W Stepdown Beds: 28 private beds Patient Population: Heavy cardiac focus – dysrhythmias, CVAs, mixed acuity patients, and stepdowns from ICU Telemetry: Yes Monitor techs available RNs must be able to read and interpret telemetry strips Unit serves as the central monitoring station for the hospital Staffing & Ratios Nurse-to-Patient Ratios: Stepdown: 1:4–5 Med/Surg acuity: 1:6 Charge Nurse: Days: No patient assignment Nights: May take a patient assignment Nurse Aides: Days & Mid shift: 2 per shift No CNA coverage after 11:00 PM Scheduling RN Shifts: Days: 7:00 AM – 7:30 PM Nights: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend Days: Saturday/Sunday Nights: Friday/Saturday/Sunday Holiday Requirement: Every other holiday (rotates with permanent staff) Block Scheduling: Allowed Orientation: 2 floor-specific shifts with a preceptor Leadership Note: The unit director is highly communicative and supportive, works closely with staff and travelers on scheduling, and is known for being very easy to work with.
