3x12-hour shifts, nights, weekdays and weekends; 1:2
nurse-to-patient ratio Highlights: Specialize in direct fresh
open-heart admissions from OR in a dedicated 10-bed Cardiac Care
Unit Manage complex cardiac patients including CABG, valve
replacements, STEMIs, and cardiogenic shock Work with advanced
cardiac technology including Swan-Ganz, Impella, IABP, and CRRT
13-week contract with possible extension; ASAP start date available
Cerner EMR system with comprehensive interdisciplinary support
including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and rapid
response teams 24 hours of orientation provided Requirements:
Current RN license (West Virginia or Compact state; pending license
acceptable) Minimum 2 years of RN experience required Current ACLS,
BLS (American Heart Association), and NIH certifications Must have
experience with ACT (Activated Clotting Time) Required critical
care skills: direct open-heart admissions from OR, cardiac surgery,
Swan-Ganz management, Impella monitoring, CRRT, arterial line
management, pressure monitoring Additional required competencies:
IABP, sheath removal, post-cardiac surgery care, continuous IV
sedation, procedural sedation, CVA/stroke management, ABG
interpretation, and chest tube assistance Permanent address must be
greater than 100 miles from facility (75-100 miles considered
case-by-case) Minimum 2 manager or charge nurse references from the
