Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, days - Employment Type: Travel Neuro Registered Nurse - Weekend Days Location City and State Not Specified Assignment Duration This is a 13-week contract position. Schedule 12-hour shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM, available on weekends: Friday, Saturday, Sunday or Saturday, Sunday, Monday. Job Description The Neuro Unit is seeking dedicated Registered Nurses with a strong background in neuroscience. Nurses will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care to individuals with conditions such as strokes, seizures, and post-operative neurological disorders. Responsibilities - Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Neuro Unit. - Monitor patient conditions and respond to changes in status. - Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement care plans. - Document patient assessments and interventions in Epic. - Administer medications and manage patient drips according to physician's orders. Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure - Current BLS certification (AHA) required. - NIHSS certification in hand at the time of submission. - ACLS certification preferred. - Strong neuro experience and proficiency with G-tubes are necessary. - Recent experience with Epic electronic health records system is required. - Ability to interpret telemetry strips is not required as strip reading is handled by monitor techs.
