Duration: 13 weeks - 40 hours per week - Shift: 8 hours, days -
Employment Type: Travel /n Job Description/n American Traveler is
seeking a Radiology Technologist - X-Ray with at least 1 year of
acute care experience and ARRT certification for a rotating shift
contract. /n /n Responsibilities/n - Position is based in an acute
care hospital radiology department - Work encompasses general
X-ray, OR cases (cystos, ortho, GI), and fluoro procedures -
Department has 4 rooms: 3 general X-ray, 1 fluoro, as well as 2
portables and 3 C-Arms - Average daily volume is 110 scans/studies
- Shifts rotate and include days, afternoons, nights, and every
other weekend; four 10-hour shifts per week - Travelers float
between general radiology, fluoro, and OR as needed - Must be able
to work independently overnight as the only technologist on site -
Uses Cerner (Community Works) EMR and Intellirad/Intelliconnect
PACS - Equipment includes C-arms OEC, GE AMX portables, DR-Konica,
Del Medical, Siemens, and Philips scanners - Must be comfortable
covering solo on overnight shifts - First-time travelers are
welcome to apply - A five-shift orientation with a preceptor is
provided - May wear any color scrubs as long as they are
professional; permanent staff wear emerald green if matching is
desired - Holiday shifts may be assigned as part of the rotation -
Previous employees of any WVU Medicine location must have a
two-year break before reapplying as a traveler - Candidates must
reside at least 50 miles from the facility - WV CARES background
clearance is required prior to start /n /n Requirements/n - ARRT
certification required - Current BLS certification required - West
Virginia X-ray license required if applicable - Minimum of 1 year
experience as a radiology technologist in an acute care setting -
Ability to perform in all areas, including general X-ray, portable,
OR, and fluoro procedures - Must submit an unexpired driver’s
license for consideration - Disclosure of any licensing violations
