applications for a Summer Aide to join the team at our Main Campus
in Sewickley, PA. A Summer Aide assists the Summer Program Teacher
in providing both direct care and programmatic services for
physically and mentally challenged students attending the Verland
summer school program. The Summer Aide provides specialized care in
the areas of perception, self-direction, adapted living skills,
social skills, sensorimotor and communication. This is a temporary,
hourly, non-exempt position. Shift Available: Full Time - 8am -
2:30pm Monday thru Friday (June - August) Contributions
Implementation of goal objective plans and procedural goal
objectives; Providing a safe and clean environment for the
students; Using behavioral principles to foster maximum
independence (social role valorization); Observing the student’s
behavior and reporting it accurately; Performing needed
housekeeping duties; Providing escort services for students
utilizing community resources; Providing personal care for the
students; Performing other job related duties as required
