with Cynet Health to find a qualified PCU RN in Fairmont, West
Virginia, 26554! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN
(Registered Nurse) Specialty: Stepdown/MedSurg Duration: 13 weeks
Shift: 12H Days Hours per Shift: 36 hours per week Experience:
Minimum of 3 years License: Valid and unexpired nursing license
required Certifications: BLS, ACLS Must-Have: Stepdown experience
Description: Unit has a 50-bed capacity. Ratios are 1:3 in Stepdown
and 1:5-6 on the floor. Common diagnoses/Types of patients include
respiratory issues, weakness, urinary tract infections, acute
kidney injury, and chest pain. RNs are required to titrate drips.
Common titratable and/or set rate drips include Heparin, Insulin,
Cardizem, and Amiodarone. There is a Charge Nurse and House
Supervisor on duty. There are nursing aides on this unit with a
ratio of 2 per shift. Respiratory therapy equipment includes CPAP,
BiPAP, and high flow oxygen. Telemetry is available on the unit.
Monitoring techs are present and RNs are responsible for reading
strips. Shifts are scheduled for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.
Weekend requirements include 3 weekend shifts per 4-week schedule.
There is a holiday rotation requirement. There is no call or
standby requirement. Floating requirements do not apply. Scrub
color is royal blue. There is unit/department specific orientation.
The cancellation policy allows for 2 shifts to be canceled per
13-week assignment and 1 shift for assignments less than 13 weeks.
Charting system used is EPIC. A BSN is not required for this
position. Trauma level is unspecified. Care setting is acute.
