Join us as we provide Life Changing Medicine to our community. /n ANCC Magnet designated UPMC Passavant currently hiring a Full-Time Staff Nurse to support our 6 South Surgical Oncology Unit at the McCandless location. /n About the Unit: /n /n - 6 South is a 24 bed surgical oncology unit that specializes in the pre and post op phase of surgery. Identifies ethical situations within patient care or within the workplace and seeks assistance. /n - Professionally accepts assignments that gradually increase patient load and complexity. /n - - Zero to one year of experience. - One year experience preferred - Completion of UPMC student nurse internship or student clinical transitions course at UPMC preferred - BSN preferred. - Mobility and visual manual dexterity. Physical stamina for frequent walking, standing, lifting and positioning of patients. Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances: - Current Pennsylvania licensure as a Registered Professional Nurse - CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire - Must complete licensure examination within FOUR MONTHS of hire or within one year of graduation, whichever comes first.
