Job Description ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Wheeling, West Virginia. Job Description & Requirements - Specialty: Med Surg - Discipline: RN - Start Date: ASAP - Duration: 13 weeks - 36 hours per week - Shift: 12 hours, rotating - Employment Type: Travel Opportunity: /n RN - Med Surg /n/n Job Details: /n • Work 12-hour day/night rotating shifts /n• Weekend shifts scheduled as needed, typically half of total weekends /n• Patient ratio of 1:6/7 (up to 1:7 patients per nurse) /n• Required certifications: BLS (AHA), NIHSS /n• Must wear navy blue scrubs /n• 30-bed medical surgical unit in acute care setting /n• Care for patients with CHF, COPD, cellulitis, pneumonia, urosepsis, and AKI /n• Work with PCTs (Patient Care Technicians) on the unit /n• Titrate heparin drips based on APTT results /n• Monitor telemetry patients (watched remotely by monitor techs) /n• Use EPIC charting system /n• Float to other units as needed based on census /n• Cancellation policy allows up to 2 shifts per 13-week contract /n• No standby or call requirements /n• Must provide copy of unexpired driver's license with submission /n• Must be within 50-mile radius of facility /n• BSN not required /n/n Facility: /n This healthcare facility provides comprehensive medical and surgical services with a focus on acute care.
