They provide compassionate care to patients of all ages, from infants to elderly individuals, blending expertise, technical skills, and ethical standards. \n The Lakeside 40 Medical-Psychiatry unit (MPU) is a specialized 10-bed unit designed to provide integrated care for patients with complex medical and severe behavioral health conditions. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace. \n Qualifications Experience \n \n 1 year RN experience required. \n \n Education \n \n Other Accredited Program: Diploma in Nursing or \n (ADN) Associate's Degree in Nursing (Required) \n (BSN) Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (Preferred) \n (MN) Master in Nursing (Preferred) \n \n Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities \n \n Knowledge of nursing process and practice. (Required proficiency) \n Uses a wide variety of technical equipment to meet patient needs and prescribed clinical therapies (ie. stethoscopes, thermometers, sphygmomanometers and electronic monitoring devices. (Required proficiency) \n \n Licenses and Certifications \n \n Registered Nurse (RN), Ohio and/or Multi State Compact License (Required Upon Hire) and \n Basic Life Support (BLS) (Required Upon Hire) \n Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) May be required based on the clinical care standards of the unit.
