Position:  Help Desk Job in Stow, Ohio
Location: Stow, OH
Duration: 12 month contract with potential for renewal each year
 
Modis, a leader in the staffing industry, is working with a client to fill a Help Desk Job in Stow, Ohio within their education for excellence system of schools.   The Help Desk Job in Stow, Ohio will work closely with teachers, students, and staff to troubleshoot all IT issues. This is a customer service role and candidates will need to have a calm demeanor in sometimes stressful situations.
 
Responsibilities:

• 
  

• Assist teachers, students, and staff via phone, email, remotely, and in person with all IT issues
• Maintain ownership and troubleshoot issues to completion
• Maintain a calm and professional demeanor
• Research issues outside of currently knowledge and skills

 
Qualifications:

• 
  

• Basic hardware troubleshooting (differentiate faulty component- hardware, software, config, connection; replace, reinstall, or reconfigure faulty component, test to verify solution)
• Experience supporting PC laptops, PC desktops, Chromebooks, Smartboards, Printers (especially HP), Copiers (konica minolta), Projectors (Epson and In Focus), ipads
• Customer oriented attitude (true desire to solve issues and help end users)
• Ability to communicate
• Self piloting (take a problem from definition to resolution- including contacting vendor for warranty, etc.)
• Organized, self motivated (not waiting for a checklist of tasks, able to define what needs done and able to tackle the tasks)
• Desire to continue to learn and grow their IT knowledge and skills

 
Preferred Qualifications:

• 
  

• Experience with imaging computers
• Experience with enrolling and updating Chromebooks
• Basic network troubleshooting (PING, diagnose a loopback on a switch, static/dhcp addressing)
• Experience upgrading from XP to windows 7 would be very helpful
• Experience with GAFE (Gmail, Drive, Groups, etc)
