Position Description: This role will require someone in Cleveland, OH, Pittsburgh, PA, Dallas, TX, Birmingham, AL, or Miamisburg, OH. CGI is hiring an Java Tech Lead to join our dynamic team. For this role on this particular client engagement, employer sponsorship of immigration related visa and/or green card status as part of the PERM process will not be available. Your future duties and responsibilities: - Design and develop applications using latest Java concepts in Spring Boot - Design and maintain APIs, services, and different payment sources - Work with API developers across the teams to build new API features at large-scale - Improve API standards and services - Review design documents and provide feedback on approach and estimates - Provide technical expertise in the design, development, coding, testing, and debugging of software - Ensure that software meets or exceed specified standards and end-user requirements - You will complete complex development, design, implementation, architecture design specification, and maintenance activities - You may approve technical solutions proposed by team members and elevate complex technical issues to IT experts, including architects - You will be expected to recommend development options, including design, build, and test - You will resolve technical problems discovered by the team and internal clients Responsible for responding in a timely manner Researching issues and performing root cause analysis - Codes, tests, debugs, documents and implements complex software applications Required qualifications to be successful in this role: - Experience leading a team of developers - 8 years of experience developing enterprise applications using Java. - 5 years of experience of Rest API development and maintenance using Spring Boot. - Knowledge of and Experience with Java (API Dev), SpringBoot, Microservices, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), CI/CD and DevOps tools such as GitHub/GitLab, Jenkins etc. - Knowledge with OpenShift, Kafta will be plus - Experience working in Agile and /or Scrum development. - Problem solving and/or analytical thinking. - Possess ability to manage workload, manage multiple priorities, and manage conflicts with customers/employees/managers, as applicable. - Excellent oral and written communication skills. The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $69,700.00 - $154,300.00.
