Summary of Position - Provides evidence-based instruction to special needs children with autism spectrum disorder (ASD). Prepares social, educational, and communication based instructional lessons and materials for classroom and community-based experiences. Collects, records, evaluates, and summarizes daily, monthly, and quarterly treatment data reports. Works collaboratively with staff, therapists, parents, and students. Job Duties - Assists in the provision of evidence-based instruction to special needs students with autism; prepares instructional lessons and materials for classroom and community-based activities; participates in evaluations and assessments of children with autism enrolled in the programs; maintains proper order and discipline in the classroom; assists in supervising outings; attends parent programs and staff meetings; and assists with public relations events sponsored by the Rich Center for Autism. Minimum Qualifications - A bachelor s degree. Ability to work cooperatively with colleagues and supervisory staff at all levels and to interact appropriately with special needs children. Clearly demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills. Preferred Qualifications - A bachelor s degree in special education, early childhood education, or related field. Relevant experiences as registered behavior technician (RBT) and/or providing supports for individuals with autism.
