Job Description:

Position Title: Branch Operations Support Specialist Department: Branch Administration/Retail Position Reports to: Branch Operations Manager Position Supervises: No Direct Reports Position Summary: Provide support to branches and departments to prevent substantial losses and to ensure branch compliance to company policies and procedures. Serve as the liaison between the branches and departments, Brinks, and other vendors to ensure customer service and daily operations are not interrupted. Duties and Responsibilities:Support branches with frontline risk management and check processing decisions to prevent substantial losses.Work with branches to manage cash average, controllable losses and outages, department error resolutions, and security issues.Support branches with daily operations to ensure compliance to Company policies and proceduresLiaison between branches, internal departments, Brinks, and other vendors to ensure customer service and daily operations are not interrupted.Maintain safe deposit box procedures; manage drilled safe deposit box contents, and the escheat processConduct Retail Audits and assist with large and unusual outage investigations to ensure losses are minimal and branches are compliant. Complete other audits as assigned.Support the Branch Operations Manager and other department managers in research, preparation, testing, training, and communications of operating procedures in order to provide up-to-date processes and practices for branches.Remains current with banking regulations, such as Reg CC, Reg DD, Reg D, Reg E)Promotes a positive image of the bank, develops and maintains effective relationships with internal customers and partners, in addition to serving as a liaison within all areas of the organization.Some travel will be necessary to perform audits, review branch operations, or for any other need as deemed by the Branch Operations Manager.Serve as a back up to different areas in the department, as necessary.Perform other duties as assigned. Education, Certification, License and Experience:High school graduate or equivalent1 year banking or financial services preferred1 year customer service required Skills and Knowledge:Basic knowledge and understanding of bank rules and regulationsMust have strong knowledge of Company/Retail policies, procedures and products and servicesAssumes responsibility and accountability for all actions and decisions madeCommunication: Written, Verbal, Listening, and PresentationFlexibility and AdaptabilityAbility to build trusting relationshipsCompassionate: Demonstrates genuine interest in othersDecision Making: Gathers information and identifies issues, problems, and opportunitiesAnalytical: strong problem analysis and solving skillsOrganization and planning skillsMaintain confidential informationDigital/Technology: Knowledge and ability to use digital systems, tools, and software applications to include Word and ExcelManaging Work: Effectively manages time and resources to ensure that work is completed accurately and effectivelySets high standards of performance for selfResponsible for knowing and ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations and guidelines, as detailed in policies that include but are not limited to Bank Secrecy Act and other applicable anti-money-laundering rules, Right to Financial Privacy, Fair Lending, Community Reinvestment Act, Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act, and other laws and regulations as they pertain to the position. Work Environment: This job operates in a professional office environment. Work is normally performed in a typical interior work environment which does not subject the employee to any hazardous or unpleasant elements. Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to speak or hear, stand or sit for long periods of time, open filing cabinets, walk, stoop or bend, use hands to handle or feel and reach with hands and arms. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and complete tasks requiring manual dexterity.
