MEMBER SERVICES REPRESENTATIVE - JOB DESCRIPTIONFLSA Status: Non-Exempt (Hourly)Reports to: General ManagerSpecial Requirements:Must be able to obtain and maintain CPR/AED Certification within time frames required by company and maintain physical ability to perform CPR/AED in the event of a medical emergency.Must obtain Tanning Certification within time frame required by company.SUMMARY DESCRIPTIONThe Member Services Representative be responsible for creating a positive member experience by providing a superior level of customer service to Planet Fitness members, prospective members and guests.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESGreet members, prospective members and guests, providing exceptional customer service.Handle all front desk related activities including: Answering phones in a friendly manner and assist callers with a variety of questions. Checking members into the system. New member sign-up. Taking prospective members on tours.Facilitate needed updates to member's accounts.Respond to member questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner and elevate to Assistant Manager or Manager as needed.Perform cleaning duties as required to maintain neatness and cleanliness of the clubMust be able to obtain and maintain CPR/AED Certification within time frames required by company and maintain physical ability to perform CPR/AED in the event of a medical emergencyMust obtain Tanning Certification within time frame required by company.QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTSExceptional customer service skills; ability to interact in a positive and professional way with members and co-workers, exceeding the members expectations.Must be able to obtain and maintain CPR/AED Certification within time frames required by company and maintain physical ability to perform CPR/AED in the event of a medical emergency.Must obtain Tanning Certification within time frame required by company.A passion for fitness and healthUpbeat, professional and positive attitudePunctuality and reliability and must.Demonstrate diplomacy in all interactions while using appropriate behavior and language.Hard working, enthusiastic and energeticHigh school diploma/GED equivalent required.Must be 18 years of age or olderPHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORKING ENVIRONMENTThe conditions herein are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
