Also performs general radiographic examinations as required. Prepares equipment and scanning area for patient procedures. Transport or escort patients to and from CT area. Keeps areas stocked at all times and room clean. Technologist cleans equipment per departmental policy after each patient use.10%Performs all clerical duties needed to assist in the patient care process and demonstrates proper documentation of all patient care.10%Operates and maintains equipment used and records all maintenance in log books, performs quality control testing as required by department quality assurance plan/coordinator20%Ensures radiation safety to the patient, public, and self in conjunction with ODH and JC requirements. Educates patients and/or family member to procedure and any other educational requirements.10%Maintains competencies of a Radiologic/CT Technologist as required by department, state and federal guidelines.10%Adheres to work schedule, and schedules PTO time off per departmental policy. Will be available for rotating emergency call, while also possibly being asked to cover at other facilities within the Mercy Health Youngstown market.Attends departmental staff meetings and in-services as required. Adheres to all - established CareTIME / HR policies.10%Cooperates with all personnel in the proper conduct of the department. Maintains ethical relationships. May be requested to assist in the development of techniques for procedures. May assist in the use of a variety of equipment and procedures not routinely employed. Has fairly detailed level of knowledge of a Radiology/CT modalityOther Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred: Gathers, organizes, verifies, and analyzes data in the completion of multi-step procedures.
