of Primary Function/General Purpose of PositionThe Radiology
Technologist Assistant supports the needs of the Radiology team
with the use of the Radiology Information System, basic computer
skills, and excellent communication skills.Essential Job
FunctionsOrganizes rooms, stocks linen, changes and properly
removes linen.Uses two patient identifiers prior to transporting
patients to and from Radiology that are not requiring patient
monitor or high flow oxygen.Properly operates stretchers, patient
beds, and wheelchairs.Reviews daily department schedules in order
to work efficiently with the Radiologic team members.Maintains
office and medical supplies in all Imaging areas and informs team
leader when supplies need to be ordered.Responds to patients and
visitors promptly and politely.Operates radiographic equipment and
accessories in accordance with the principles of ALARA (as low as
