Also performs general radiographic examinations as required. All supervisors and above are expected to develop, implement and monitor short and long range plans to meet or surpass standards consistent with the overall strategic plan.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS (7-10 statements)% Time20%Performs CT imaging examinations, intravenous contrast injections in accordance with hospital guidelines and ensures safety to the patient, public, and self. Prepares equipment and scanning area for patient procedures. Transport or escort patients to and from CT area. Keeps areas stocked at all times and room clean. Technologist cleans equipment per departmental policy after each patient use.10%Performs all clerical duties needed to assist in the patient care process and demonstrates proper documentation of all patient care.10%Operates and maintains equipment used and records all maintenance in log books, performs quality control testing as required by department quality assurance plan/coordinator20%Ensures radiation safety to the patient, public, and self in conjunction with ODH and JC requirements. Educates patients and/or family member to procedure and any other educational requirements.10%Maintains competencies of a Radiologic/CT Technologist as required by department, state and federal guidelines.10%Adheres to work schedule, and schedules PTO time off per departmental policy. Will be available for rotating emergency call, while also possibly being asked to cover at other facilities within the Mercy Health Youngstown market. Attends departmental staff meetings and in-services as required. Adheres to all - established CareTIME / HR policies.10%Cooperates with all personnel in the proper conduct of the department. Maintains ethical relationships. May be requested to assist in the development of techniques for procedures. May assist in the use of a variety of equipment and procedures not routinely employed. Assist others in the department, requests assistance when necessary and demonstrates a team approach to patient care. Has fairly detailed level of knowledge of a Radiology/CT modalityOther Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Preferred: Gathers, organizes, verifies, and analyzes data in the completion of multi-step procedures.
