Our client, a global packaging manufacturer, is currently seeking a Production Data Analyst for their expanding data analytics team. As a Data Analyst focusing on Continuous Improvement in manufacturing settings, you will be an essential part of our team, working hands-on to drive operational excellence through statistical analysis and process improvements. This role requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual eager to immerse themselves in the manufacturing environment, collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for enhancement.This Analyst position can be locally based to our client's manufacturing sites or remotely based within half-day travel to those sites.This is a full-time, direct-hire position, and is not eligible for contract, visa sponsorship, or visa transfer - candidates must be eligible for W-2 hire without employer provisions.This job will have the following responsibilities:Data Collection and ValidationCollect, clean, and validate manufacturing data (e.g., OEE, scrap, etc.) from various sources, ensuring accuracy and reliability.Collaborate with frontline staff to ensure data integrity and gather insights from the shop floor.Statistical AnalysisApply statistical methods (e.g., Regression, ANOVA, DOE, etc.) to analyze manufacturing data, including production metrics, quality control data, and equipment performanceGenerate actionable insights to support decision-making and continuous improvement initiatives.Continuous Improvement InitiativesParticipate in continuous improvement projects, employing statistical tools and methodologies to identify areas for optimization.Collaborate with manufacturing teams to implement data-driven solutions and monitor their impact.Hands-On EngagementSpend time on the manufacturing floor to gain a practical understanding of processes, challenges, and opportunities for improvement.Work closely with production teams, demonstrating a willingness to get involved and understand the intricacies of manufacturing operations.Reporting and DocumentationDevelop clear and concise reports and visualizations to communicate key performance indicators and improvement progress.Document methodologies, findings, and recommendations for future reference and knowledge sharing.Qualifications & Requirements:Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Data Science, Statistics, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Business Analytics, etc.) Familiarity with data analysis tools such as
R, SQL, Python, in addition to advanced Excel skills.Familiarity with data visualization tool such as Power BI or Tableau.Strong foundation in statistical analysis and a keen interest in applying statistical methods to real-world manufacturing challenges.Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams.Eagerness to learn and contribute to a dynamic manufacturing environment.Knowledge of ETL process.This role can be remotely based, however travel to corporate offices and manufacturing sites to learn business processes and systems is required.
